RECORD RUN: Several days of record high temperatures are looking to come to an end today as temperatures begin to cool off, even though temperatures will still remain well above the seasonal average. Along with the cooler temperatures, chances of showers and thunderstorms will increase. Some of the rainfall could be quite heavy with 1-3″ possible with the best chances across the central counties through the week. Some of the thunderstorms especially later today could be strong to severe with large hail being the main threat.

WARMTH CONTINUES: The warmer than normal temperatures look to continue even after the storm moves away later this week and even the rest of the month. There will be several chances of showers and thunderstorms which will be needed given the dry ground lately across the state.
