RECORD WARMTH: The warm weather continues across the state and record warmth at that. Some locations hit or tied record highs yesterday and many more will tie or break them today and possibly for many days to come. There is also a chance of an isolated shower or thunderstorm this afternoon and evening. There will be enough instability in the atmosphere for some but not everyone will get one. This will continue through the rest of the week into the weekend.

BLOCKING RIDGE: The storm that is off to our west is going to take its sweet time getting here through no fault of its own. The ridge that has been bringing us this wonderful warm weather will be blocking any storms from moving eastward. It won’t be until sometime early next week that the ridge will flatten out and move west that it will kick out and move through our area.

CONTINUED WARM: After the one storm moves away, the ridge returns and so does the warmth, although the warmth really doesn’t leave. It may not be in the 70s to near 80, but it’s still going to be above average at least until the end of the month. There is also a few storm systems that may bring some rainfall to the state as well toward the end of the month as well.
