DOSE OF SEASONAL: Readings today will be much cooler than the past few days across the state. Temperatures in the 40s to lower 50s will be about it for many, albeit this is still a few degrees above average, it’s nothing compared to the 60s and 70s of Monday and Tuesday.

SUNDAY SOAKER: A storm system looks to move into the state on Sunday bringing with it some showers across the southeastern half of the state. This unfortunately won’t help the areas that need the precipitation in the northwestern counties where the drought is ongoing.

MORE INCLEMENT WEATHER: Looking further into March, the pattern becomes a bit more active with several chances of shower and thunderstorm activity across the state and region. If this pans out, there could be some decent amounts of rain that will help with the drought, but with storms in March you have to talk about the possibility of severe weather. It’s too early to determine if any of these storms could produce severe weather, but we’ll continue to keep an eye out on any possible trends with any of these storm systems.
