COLD WEEKEND: A cold and wintry like weekend across the state, with a few flurries possible on Saturday night that won’t amount to much. It will be breezy too with temperatures in the 20s and 30s for highs.
WARMER WEEK: Temperatures will warm next weeks back into the 30s and 40s for highs. A disturbance moves through Tuesday that may bring some rain/snow mix to the area. Amounts will generally be light given the lack of moisture with this system. A slight cool down to seasonal readings is in store the rest of the week as a ridge develops over the west and a trough builds over the east.
COLD HIGHS?: The model run continues to show some Canadian high pressure centers coming into the United States with some colder air the second week in February. If this pans out, that would mean temperatures at least 10° below average if not more, however, the NAO is tracking to stay Positive through the first two weeks of February which makes this seem a bit skeptical for now. It’ll also remain dry for a while as well.
