WARM TODAY: Another warm day in store with temperatures in the 30s and 40s across the state. IWB Spotter Hayley Scott got all the way to 42° yesterday at her home in Des Moines. Same can be said for areas south and west of Des Moines as well, but north and east where more snow is on the ground, temperatures were held to the lower and middle 30s. Same goes for today as well with readings a few degrees warmer.

SNOW TOMORROW: Wintry Weather returns to the state on Friday with a disturbance moving through. The main time period will be in the morning and afternoon across the western counties. Afternoon and evening across the east. Snowfall amounts will be light with areas south of a Algona to Waterloo to Clinton line seeing less than a half inch. Areas to the north may get anywhere between 1-2″. A few flurries will linger on Saturday but won’t amount to much.

WARMING UP AGAIN: After a brief cool down this weekend, temperatures head back to the 30s and 40s for highs next week with the pattern favoring more Pacific area instead of Canadian air. Another bout of the wintry stuff is possible again on Tuesday but again this will light.
