SEASONAL: After the storm departs the area later today, the weather will be very benign for the rest of the week. Temperatures will remain near seasonal levels with 20s and 30s for highs and lows in the teens. There may be a few flurries or light snow showers Friday with a cold front settling into the state, otherwise it’ll remain dry until early next week.

GROUNDHOG DAY: Even though this is still well out in the “voo-doo” area of the model run, the system on Groundhog Day is still with us and looks more impressive this run and a tad slower. This run would take the low pressure center from Emporia KS to Kirksville MO and then to Madison WI, putting most of the state in the colder sector and with the best chance to see some significant snow that may last 24-48 hours. Still this is ten days away and things can change with every run this far out, but this has been on the board consistently over the last few days. Keep tuned to any changes on future weather videos.
