QUIET AND WARM: The abnormal winter season continues through the holiday weekend, with mainly dry conditions and temperatures at or above seasonal norms. Readings will remain in the 30s and 40s for highs through the middle of next week and possibly through the end of the year. There looks to be no end to the snow drought across the state outside of the snow that fell across the northern counties Wednesday night into Thursday morning (most of which has melted).

NO ARCTIC COLD: Another drought that some may want to have last for a longer period of time is brutally cold weather. The latest model run shows no signs of any intrusion from the arctic. Pacific air will rule to roost for the time being with some quick shots of rain or snow and slightly cooler readings followed by gradual warming. We’ll see how long this can go before it comes to an end.
