LITTLE MIX: A wintry mix of rain/snow will continue mainly in the southern counties of the state this morning and move up to at least Interstate 80 by the afternoon. There is enough dry air around, that areas north of there will likely see no more than a few flurries or sprinkles at best. Accumulations are expected to be around a half inch except near the Iowa Missouri Border where some heavier albeit not by much will be possible. The storm system moves off Wednesday with cooler conditions for the rest of the week into the Holiday Weekend.
NO SNOW: Only very slight chances of snow are in the forecast for the next week to ten days. There is a chance of a few flurries Friday but even that isn’t going to make up for their likely not being a white Christmas across most of the state. Even the week after doesn’t look promising for any snow. The snow drought looks to continue even into the first few days of 2012.
