LIKELY NO WHITE: It’s not looking good for people who want a white Christmas this year. The chances of any snow for the early week system are lower and lower. If any snow were to fall it will be contained to the southern most tier of counties in the state and even then the amounts will be an inch maybe two at most, with the heaviest accumulations over northern Missouri into Kansas where Winter Storm Watches have been issued. The flurry and snow shower chance on Thursday has also gone by the wayside also, so many if not all of the state will see a brown Christmas.

REMAINING WHITELESS: It doesn’t look much better the week after Christmas either for snow as the pattern continues to remain dry, with little chance of snow through the end of the year. Temperatures will remain close to seasonal levels as well with no real push of Arctic weather anytime soon.
