QUIET AND COLD: It will be a tranquil week across the state with little if any chances of precipitation. There will be another push of cold Canadian air at mid-week that will drop temperatures a few degrees, otherwise readings will stay in the 20s and lower 30s for highs with lows in the single digits and teens (below zero in the snowpack areas at least through Tuesday). Temperatures will jump by the weekend back into the 30s with some southwesterly winds. This will be tempered by a few flurries or light snow showers next Monday.

NEXT SYSTEM: The next storm system of any significance looks to be about 10 days out. This system will be similar to the recent storm that moved through Friday night through Sunday morning. Right now it looks to be mainly in the form of rain, but we’ll see if the model runs continue with that. Following that system there looks to be no real push of Arctic air (different from what was shown yesterday).
