DRY AND COLD: It will remain dry across the state for the next week or so with cooler than average conditions. We could see the first hard freeze of the year across the state by Wednesday and Thursday morning, with lows tumbling into the 20s to lower 30s. Highs will struggle to reach 50° Wednesday and Thursday, with readings moderating toward seasonal norms by the upcoming weekend.

RAIN CHANCES: The next chance of rain looks to come early next week with another storm system that is expected to bring another shot of cold air to the state. This model run shows that this cold snap could be colder than this weeks. We’ll have to wait and see if this transpires. Otherwise the rest of the period looks rather dry through the end of October.
