Rain over Southern Iowa

Radar at 1:10pm

Light rain, some not even reaching the ground was falling mainly south of Interstate 80 this afternoon. To the north skies were partly to mostly cloudy with the far northern counties of the state seeing more sunshine then clouds. Temperatures have been kept down with readings struggling into the 50s across the south where the rain has been persistent all day to the mid to upper 50s across the north with sunshine. Any rain will likely remain to the south of the Interstate 80 corridor today as a disturbance moves through. Colder weather will follow in its wake with highs over the next few days some 10-15 degrees below the seasonal average for this time of year.
