RAIN IS COMING: Chances of rain return to the state once again today through Wednesday with a frontal system that will slowly move across the state. Chances today and tomorrow look to be under 30% at best with Wednesday seeing chances increase to between 40-60%. Amounts over this three day period will range between a quarter and three quarters of an inch, with some isolated heavier totals. Cooler and more seasonal weather will following for the remainder of the week with readings back into the 60s and lows in the upper 30s to 40s.
ACTIVE PERIOD: The weather pattern still looks to become more active with the jet stream overhead. This is going to bring disturbances across the state every few days with chances of showers and isolated thunderstorms. It will also bring cooler weather each time as well. The 540 line has been getting closer and closer to the state each week. The first snowflakes of the year can’t be that far out, but as of this run, they look to remain just to our north at least for the time being.
