There is a slight risk of severe weather for Friday and Friday night across the far northwestern sections of the state, mainly west of a Missouri Valley to Estherville line. The main threats with any of the storms that may develop will be from large hail and damaging winds. On a side note, some lightning may cause some grass/field fires as well due to the amount of dry ground across NW Iowa.
