DRY WEATHER AHEAD: No more talk about the Upper Level low as it will be far enough to the east that it won’t be effecting the weather in the state today and anymore. What will be left in its wake is a long stretch of dry weather with seasonal temps through Thursday before a cold front comes through and drops readings down into the lower and middle 60s for highs. Saturday morning could be a bit chilly with morning readings in the middle to upper 30s across the northeastern counties of the state and in the common colder locales. The next widespread chance of rain looks to be holding off until Wednesday and Thursday of next week with a cold front that will be coming in from the west.

BIG STORM?: There is a storm that is expected to move into the area around Columbus Day and the next day (10th and 11th), previous runs have been showing some cold air rushing in behind it, even some slight chance of some white stuff (12 and 18z GFS), but this one keeps the cold air in Canada. It is still a formidable storm nevertheless. It will need to be looked at in future runs for a few more days to get a better understanding of this system and what it might bring.
