UPPER LEVEL LOW: The pesky upper level low is still around for today and into the upcoming weekend. For those west of Interstate 35, the weather will be pleasant with plenty of sunshine a few clouds from time to time and temperatures in the upper 60s to near 70. Across the eastern counties though, partly cloudy skies in the morning will gave way each day to mostly cloudy skies with a threat of a sprinkle or light shower. The chances increase on Sunday with moisture streaming in from the east. The upper low departs on Monday taking the clouds and cool temperatures with it.
CONTINUED DRY: Outside of the showers chances this weekend (which are slim at best and not everyone will see rain), it will be dry into next week as well with a ridge of high pressure moving in across the region. That will bring sunshine and seasonal temperatures to the state with readings in the lower to middle 70s with nighttime readings in the 50s.
ULL THE SEQUEL: ULL standing for Upper Level Low may make another appearance across the region if the model run is accurate the first week of October. If true, this would bring back the low clouds, rain chances and temperatures in the lower 60s once more. We’ll see if this disappears on the next run.
