UPPER LEVEL LOW: The forecast across the state will depend on cloudiness from an upper level that will be close enough to the state to impact the weather and the temperatures. Clouds will filter into the northern half of the state keeping temperatures there down into the upper 50s, while the rest of the state will see readings in the lower to middle 60s. This will continue for the rest of the week, with the cloudiness mainly over the eastern half of the state at least through Saturday before the upper level feature moves far enough to the east to clear the skies out statewide.

OCTOBER: The month of October looks to continue the dry spell that the end of this month is bringing. No real big storm systems are in the offing for the next two weeks. The big cold snap seen on the 00z GFS Model run yesterday has disappeared (which was likely to happen), but what hasn’t left is the lack of any precipitation at least moderate to heavy over the next two weeks. We’ll continue to monitor any changes over this time period.

NOTE: On a personal level, there was a fire in the building Tuesday evening that did destroy one apartment and damage several others. My apartment was NOT effected!
