SVR WX THREAT: There is a slight risk of severe weather today and tonight and into tomorrow across a small section of the state. Today’s threat extends SW to NE across the central counties of the state. Saturday’s threat is for the east central counties of the state. The threats will be from large hail and damaging winds. Today will be the last day of TRIPLE H especially across SE Iowa where a heat advisory is in effect. Cooler conditions have already moved in NW Iowa this morning along with some severe thunderstorms. The weekend after Saturday will cool off and be sunny even into next week.
