CONTINUED DRY: It will remain mostly dry for the state today outside a slight chance at a shower or storm that could be possible with a disturbance that will swipe the western counties of the state. Otherwise the next chance of rain holds out until Tuesday and Wednesday with a warm front ushering warmer weather to the state (possibly TRIPLE H!) Until then, temperatures will remain near seasonal norms.

HOT TO WEEKEND: After the passage Wednesday, the state will see a few hot days through Friday when a cold front will move into the state. This could effect some of the High School Football Games for Week 2. The cold front could linger into Saturday morning which may effect tailgating especially in Iowa City for the Iowa Tennessee Tech game. The game itself doesn’t look to be effected at this time. The Iowa State UNI game should not be effected at all either during tailgating or the game itself. A return to seasonal conditions will follow to end the holiday weekend and into the following week.
