DRY WEDNESDAY: After a few VERY isolated showers and thunderstorms yesterday afternoon and evening, today will be sunny and dry with temperatures slightly cooler (or much cooler given that Fairfield hit 106° yesterday). Temperatures will be in the mid 80s to 90 with slightly lower dewpoints in the mid 60s to near 70, thus leading to lower heat indices.

RAIN RETURNS: The chance of rain does return again Thursday with a disturbance moving through from the west. Any rainfall from these storms could be heavy, but at this time severe weather is not expected at least widespread. The rain chances last at least through the weekend before some dry weather returns Monday, then another chance returns on Tuesday.

MID MONTH: The heights are lower, but there still will be a ridge to the west of the state with a trough to the east. There could be several chances of showers and storms with systems moving quickly from west to east. Thus the risk of heavy rainfall will be drastically reduced along with the threat of anymore heat waves, we’ll have to wait however.
