A NOTE TO IOWAWX.COM USERS: Iowa’s Severe Weather Center will be handling the Severe Warnings until the Folks at Iowa Weather get back. 

The Storm Prediction Center has posted Mesoscale Discussion #1711, Focusing on the Severe Threat in Southern Iowa this afternoon. A cluster of Thunderstorms could Organize into a Much bigger line, And eventually move into the area’s that have Atmospheric Instability. If this line does become larger and becomes Severe, the SPC will consider issuing a Watch, with the main threats being Large Hail and Damaging Winds, as well as an Isolated Tornado.
