Many of the weather service offices have now issued Excessive Heat Watches for the upcoming heat wave this weekend into next week. It begins Saturday afternoon across the south and west and Sunday afternoon across the north and east. It goes until Tuesday at the earliest, however this may get extended as time goes on. This will be a very dangerous heat wave with temperatures in the 90s, dewpoints in the 70s and heat indices well over 100° or in some cases 110°.
