SVR TUESDAY: There is a slight risk of severe weather for Tuesday and Tuesday night for the southwestern quadrant of the state. The main threats will be from damaging winds and large hail. Heavy rain is not likely given the QPF charts over the next 5 days showing rainfall amounts under 3/4ths of an inch.

SEASONAL WX: Temperatures will be seasonal for this time of year this week with a few chances of showers and thunderstorms especially by this upcoming weekend. Highs in the 80s to near 90 and lows in the 60s will be the rule. There could be another bout of Triple H by early next week with a huge heat ridge building across the area at that time.

FLOODING: The Missouri River remains at moderate to major flood stage across the western border of Iowa. The river is still above flood stage well upstream from the area. Like has been said earlier, this is a long duration event that is expected to last several more weeks if not until the Fall, dependent on rainfall.
