The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch effective until 5am Friday morning for Fremont, Harrison, Mills, Monona, Montgomery, Page, Pottawattamie and Shelby counties. Storms are currently moving through Nebraska, with the main threats being from large hail and damaging winds. These storms will move into the state during the overnight hours producing not only some severe weather, especially over the west, but some heavy rain as well. By sunrise, the storms (or what’s left of them should be near or just west of the Interstate 35 corridor and mainly south of US Hwy 30.
