Flash Flood Watches have been posted for much of south central and southeastern Iowa from this afternoon through early Wednesday morning. Heavy rainfall is expected over the region tonight which may lead to flash flooding in these areas. The Weather Prediction Center currently has 2.5″ of rain predicted for Ottumwa, Centerville, Bloomfield, Fairfield, Keosauqua, and surrounding communities. Southern Iowa is expected to generally see 1-2″, however locally higher amounts over four inches are possible.
