An active weather pattern is expected to continue into today as a cold front stalls over the area. Showers and thunderstorms are possible over the southeastern half of the state, with partly cloudy conditions elsewhere. Temperatures will remain around normal for the most part, in the 80s. Heavy rain is possible with some flooding concern, especially over areas that have received already ample rainfall in recent days. Several disturbances will continue to plague the area through the weekend with associated shower and thunderstorm chances. Zonal flow will prevail with around normal temperatures, no significant heat wave is in sight. We may be truly turning the page on summer 2016 as we enter more autumn-like weather.
