The flash flooding threat continues to ramp up this evening as a Flash Flood Warning has been issued for southern Linn county, including the cities and surrounding suburbs of Cedar Rapids. Up to two inches of rain has fallen across the area with an additional couple inches expected over the next couple of hours. While flash flooding has not yet been reported… it is expected to begin shortly. Urban areas like this are especially susceptible to flash flooding – significant ponding of water is possible.
