The crop report this week looks to be relatively the same with slightly drier weather leading to slightly drier soils across the state. This is true in southern Iowa where abnormally dry conditions remain while the rest of the state is ok on moisture at least for now. Oats are nearly harvested and are thus taken off the crop report and replaced with Hay at this time. Hay, along with Corn and Soybeans are still in good to excellent condition across the state with the crops running ahead of schedule due to favorable conditions. Cooler readings last week also led to better livestock conditions as well.
