Enhanced Risk of Severe Weather Tuesday

An enhanced risk of severe weather has been posted for tomorrow by the Storm Prediction Center. Storms are expected to fire in the late afternoon or early evening hours with damaging winds and an isolated tornado the primary threats. As the night drags on, the damaging wind threat will grow upscale, with concern for damaging wind gusts over 70 MPH. Strong-to-severe storms will continue through the overnight hours throughout the region. An additional risk of severe storms is in place for western Iowa on Wednesday, though these details will need to be kinked out in later forecasts.
