Not one complaint to mention as the second day of RAGBRAI rolls around as the riders head from Shenandoah to Creston, a town that last saw the annual Des Moines Register event in 1997, some 19 years ago. Things in Creston will be cool early with partly cloudy skies and a temperature of 65° at 4:00 a.m., before clouds move out by afternoon and things heat up to the upper 80s. A light north-to-northeasterly breeze at 5-10 MPH will keep things relatively nice throughout the day.
Another nice and sunny day is on deck for Tuesday before a 50% chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms return for Wednesday and Thursday. This will not be widespread by any means, ala it won’t be an all-day rain. But with all thunderstorm chances, lightning is a threat, so riders should pay close attention to radar as they make their ride. End-of-week temperatures look to be on the cooler end, in the low 80s.
Have a great Monday!
