The National Weather Service in Des Moines and Quad Cities has issued a Heat Advisory for much of south central Iowa from noon today to 7:00 p.m.

Hot temperatures into the 90s todays with dew points into the 70s across the advisory area will lead to heat indices nearing 110° this afternoon.

Use extra caution if you must be outdoors today and drink plenty of water!
