As a powerful low pressure system exits the area tomorrow, strong west-to-northwesterly winds will rush in on the backside of the system beginning Wednesday morning. Sustained winds of 20 to 40 MPH with gusts to 60 MPH will create dangerous conditions with hazardous travel due to crosswinds and possible property damage. The worst of the winds will be contained to the north of Highway 30. Winds will eventually die down later Wednesday evening across the state.
