Enjoy the Rain? Good, Here’s More

RAIN, RAIN, PLEASE STAY: The fairly decent amount of rain seen across the state thus far this weekend has been a major help to the overall dry conditions we have experienced as of late. Overcast conditions will hold through today, with rainy conditions seen statewide. While the rain will not be constant, there are chances of rain throughout the whole day – sometimes being light, sometimes being heavier within the stronger areas. No severe weather is expected with any of this, but another quality quarter or half inch of rain by Monday. Highs will range from the mid 50s northeast to nearly 70 in the far southwest. Lows will be relatively mild, in the upper 40s and low 50s.

IT’S NOT GOING AWAY: A brief pause in the rain action will be seen Monday for the most part with temperatures mild again in the low 60s northeast to mid 70s southwest. However, that will definitely be just a tease as a developing low pressure center from a 100+ jet streak aloft pushes a cold front through the area, giving plenty of instability and lift to produce widespread shower and thunderstorm activity across the region. Cooler temperatures with mostly cloudy conditions will be the story for the other half of the week… with 50s and 60s Tuesday… 40s and 50 Wednesday… and upper 30s and 40s for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. There will continue to be some hit-and-miss chances for light rain… potentially even some light snow.

Enjoy your Sunday!
