Today: Sunshine will return once again, however temps will continue to be chilly for most of the state. Highs will top out in the 30’s for a majority of the state, with a few 40’s possible in the SW.
Tonight: Temps won’t be as cold as last night under southerly winds. Lows will only bottom out in the mid 20’s across the state.
Look ahead: Clouds will return on Sunday, however highs will be generally warmer, with the mid/upper 40’s expected across Southern Iowa. A mostly benign pattern will return for the first part of the week. However, another system looks to affect the state on Wednesday / Thursday. Temps will once again be warm enough that any precip should fall as rain for a majority of the area. At this point, chances for a White Christmas look fairly low.
