The Wild and Wacky Weather Show – Presented by El Niño

Seemingly endless rain continues across the state this morning and will likely continue through some of the day. Additional rainfall amounts of a half inch to an inch will be possible in some areas by the time all is set and done. This is a very rare event to occur:

Temperatures on Monday will be in the mid 30s to mid 40s with precipitation staying in the form of rain. By afternoon, the rain should only remain over northern Iowa and Minnesota. Winds will become west-to-northwest at 10 to 20 MPH as cooler air floods the region. The next system will rise out of the southwest and move northeast into the Upper Midwest. This will present some snow chances in the northwestern part of the state. Additional cooler air arrives behind that system and drop temperatures back into the normal category, in the mid 20s north to mid 30s south.

Enjoy your Monday!
