As the weather system that affected our area yesterday exits farther to the east, colder air has rushed in behind the system, along with plenty of snow to go with it. A 10″+ snowpack for some areas with clear skies has allowed things to cool down quite a bit, with temperatures already in the low teens for some areas at 8:00 p.m. tonight. Lows tonight will likely bottom out into the lower single digits (above or below zero) where the snow pack exists and into the teens elsewhere. A light wind to go along with this will cause wind chill temperatures to drop even further into the teens below zero for some areas. These temperatures may even be lower than currently thought. Nonetheless, get the heat on tonight, and if you must go out tonight – make sure to bundle up.
