After a few early morning showers Thursday will be a partly sunny and mild day with temperatures ranging from the lower 60’s in Northern Iowa to the upper 60’s across the south. Winds will be from the east at 5 to 10 MPH
On Thursday night a storm system from the desert SW will approach Iowa and the upper Midwest. Clouds will be on the increase and by early morning Friday showers will overspread Iowa. Lows Thursday night will range from 47 in the north to 59 in the south.
Friday will be a showery and windy day across Iowa with several periods of showers and possibly a few thunderstorms rolling across the state. Right now rainfall amounts look to be in the ¼ to ½ inch range. By this coming weekend the rain will move out and it looks like we’ll see a mostly sunny and pleasant fall weekend.
