The tranquil weather of the past several days will continue today and into the start of the work week. Sunday will see a bit more cloudiness than Saturday, especially in Eastern Iowa, but with no threat of any rain. Highs on Sunday will be in the lower 60’s across Iowa with lows falling into the upper 30’s to lower 40’s. The quiet weather will persist into the early part of next week as well with slowly rising temperatures.

Chances for showers and thunderstorms return to the forecast on Wednesday and persist into late Thursday. Highs by midweek will be in the mid 70’s. The severe weather threat appears low at this time.
