STAYING QUIET: It will remain rather quiet and benign across the state through the rest of the week and into the weekend with sunshine around and highs in the 60s and lows in the lower to middle 40s. The main story will be Hurricane Joaquin and where it will go along the east coast. There is still some uncertainty to the exact track of the system. What it will do here is keep us quiet and cool and that’s about all we can say at this point. Things can change very quickly with a situation such as this so stay tuned.
NEXT WEEK: The GFS has a system moving through on Wednesday of next week with a chance of a few showers along it, otherwise the rest of the week looks dry with mainly sunny skies around. We will continue to see readings staying in the 60s for highs and lows in the 40s through the period.
FARTHER ALONG: Looking further into the month of October, the GFS shows fairly calm and quiet weather lasting through the end of next week and into the following weekend. Temperatures are show to be close to seasonal levels in the 60s for highs across the state. The weather pattern is shown to get a bit more active as we head toward the middle of the month with a few systems possibly bringing a chance of some precipitation to the state. However confidence in this solution is low at this time regarding storm timing and strength. Temperatures may creep above seasonal levels ahead of these systems and cool back off following them. No real trends developing at this time.
