Iowa Weather Report September 7th 2015: The Monsoon Returns

Today: Labor Day looks quite soggy for a majority of the state, with lingering showers/thunderstorms slow to move out of the area before returning Monday evening.  There will be some much needed relief from the heat and humidity, with highs in most locations topping out around 80.

Tonight: Showers and Thunderstorms again return to the area, with more heavy rainfall expected.  Lows will be in the mid to upper 60’s.

Tomorrow: Morning showers and thunderstorms will again dominate the forecast, especially across the SE portion of the state.  NW sections should see clearing skies, with partly cloudy conditions expected by mid day.  Highs will be even nicer, with the upper 70’s expected in western sections of the state.

Tomorrow Night: Showers and thunderstorms will clear the area from west to east, with cool and seasonable temps expected across most of the state.

Heavy rainfall is expected Monday through Tuesday evening for most locations around the area.  Please stay tuned for the latest watches and warnings and be prepared to take action.  Especially if you live in a low lying or flood prone area.
