Iowa Weather Report August 29th 2015: The Humidity Returns

Today: The showers and thunderstorms that brought rainfall totals of 5+ inches to the NW 1/2 of Iowa Friday, will slowly make their way out of the area, leaving a return to humid and warm conditions.  Areas SE will see lingering showers and thunderstorms throughout the day, with conditions eventually becoming partly cloudy towards evening.  Rainfall rates of generally 1 inch or less are expected across the area.

Tonight: The western 1/2 of the state will see clear skies, with fog developing overnight with lows generally around 60-65.

Tomorrow: Morning fog will lead the way into a warm and sunny day across the area, with highs in the low to mid 80’s.

Tomorrow night: Fog will once again develop across the area, with lows in the mid-lower 60’s.

The week ahead into Labor Day weekend: Mother Nature looks to have one last fling of summer, with temps in the mid to upper 80’s, partnered with humid conditions across the state. Sunny skies will be the general rule of the week.

Fog will develop in most areas over night into the early morning hours over the course of the next few days.  Please use caution while traveling as the fog may be dense in certain areas.
