Today: Saturday will start out Mostly Sunny for a majority of the state, with increasing chances for thunderstorms towards evening, into the overnight hours. Isolated thunderstorms are expected to develop in NW Iowa as the afternoon progresses before becoming more widespread and traversing across the state during the overnight. Heavy rain, large hail, and high winds can all be expected. There is a small tornado risk early on with initial storms. Highs will generally be in the mid to upper 80’s across the state, with a breezy south wind.
Tonight: Thunderstorms will march across the state, bringing more heavy rain to many already saturated areas. Low’s will range from the 50’s behind the storms, to the low-mid 60’s in front of them.
Tomorrow: Showers/Thunderstorms will linger in the southeast portion of the state in the morning, however the rest of the state will enjoy a beautiful, mostly sunny day with high’s in the mid-70’s.
Tomorrow night: Mostly clear conditions will continue overnight, with lows dipping into the mid-40’s in the NW portion of the state.
