If you’re heading out to the first day of the Iowa State Fair today, expect mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the 80s for the majority of the day. Things will start out cool in the morning in the upper 60s at 8:00 a.m. before warming up to the high of 87° for the day by early evening. And, again, all of this accompanied by Mostly Sunny skies, so all-in-all, not too shabby. Things will cool down by the overnight with 70s being the highlight number.

Similar conditions are on tap for the weekend, however, by Monday, things will head downward with a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms popping into the forecast as the wind shifts to the north. Several rain chances will likely pop up early next week, so it would be a good idea to check back in for the latest.
