The National Weather Service offices in Des Moines, Omaha, and Sioux Falls have all issued Heat Advisories for the afternoon and evening hours for portions of southwest, west central, and northwestern Iowa today. Temperatures in the afternoon Friday are expected to reach the low-to-mid 90s, and when combined with dew points nearing 80° in some places, heat indices near 110° will be possible.
