RAGBRAI XLIII Day 1 Sioux City to Storm Lake

A lovely day on tap for the first day of RAGBRAI XLIII. Temperatures will be a bit chilly early in the low-to-mid 60s before picking up quickly by early afternoon into the low 80s. Mostly sunny skies should be the prevailing conditions of the day as the riders swing through Sioux City, Leeds, Kingsley, Washta, Quimby, Hanover, and finally at Storm Lake. Winds will not be too much of a concern with calm winds early before picking up into the 7-10 MPH range.

The extended outlook is okay wind and temperature wise with highs in the upper 70s and low 80s. Winds will continue to be calm at around 5-10 MPH most days. There will be a chance for isolated showers and thunderstorms Monday and Thursday.

Have a great first day of biking and stay tuned to the Iowa Weather Network for the latest information!
