THROUGH THE WEEKEND: Another mainly sunny day across the state, however by the afternoon hours, the chances of showers and thunderstorms will be returning to the state from the west. Highs will be in the upper 70s to lower and middle 80s across the state. Friday will be rather wet across the state. Rainfall amounts around an inch will be fairly common across the state but some will get more and others will get less than that amount. Highs on Friday will be in the 70s. A few early showers on Saturday will give way to some cooler and drier air for the weekend with plenty of sunshine around. Highs on Saturday and Sunday are expected to be in the 60s and lower 70s for the most part, with low temperatures in the 40s to lower 50s.
WARMING UP: Temperatures will begin to warm up again as we head into next week as the winds turn around to the south. It looks to remain dry through the middle of the week with chances of precipitation returning toward the end of the week. Highs will be in the 70s to start the week before climbing back into the lower and possibly middle 80s by the end of the week.
JUNE BOON: As we look into the extended period, the GFS is showing a fairly progressive pattern with several chances of showers and thunderstorms possible. Timing on these is still up in the air but we should see some decent rains if this comes to pass. Temperatures look to be close to seasonal levels around 80 degrees give or take. Continue to see no signs of any heat waves at this time. We’ll keep watching.
