The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma has been monitoring southeastern Iowa, northwestern and west central Illinois, and far northeastern Missouri for a possible Severe Thunderstorm or Tornado Watch that may be issued over the next couple of hours. Temperatures in the southeast part of our viewing area have hit 80° with dew points reaching nearly 70°, all thanks to some cloud clearing there. This is allowing some instability to build in and enhance some showers and thunderstorms with large hail, damaging winds, and even an isolated tornado all possible.
