COOL DAYS IN STORE: The next few days will be cool across the state with readings a bit below seasonal levels in the 30s and 40s across the state. Skies will be partly to mostly sunny. A few disturbances look to move across the state late tonight and again Friday night with some wintry mix possible mainly over the western half of the state. This doesn’t look to amount to a whole lot at this point. Another system on Sunday will bring a better chance of precipitation to the entire state at that time. It will also bring warmer weather back into the state as we head into next week.

MARCHING ON: Heading into next week readings look to warm back into the 50s, 60s and even a few 70s across the state with partly to mostly sunny skies. Another storm system looks to move in around the 1st of April with another chance of showers and perhaps a thunderstorm as well. Moisture looks to be somewhat limited with this system as another storm looks to be moving across the Gulf Coast Region, however we’ll watch for any changes to that in the coming days.

LOOKING INTO APRIL: Looking further into April, the weather pattern still looks active across the state with several chances of seeing precipitation every couple days or so. The GFS has another system around the 3rd, another around the 5th and 6th and yet another storm at the end of the model around the 9th and 10th. Other than the timing of said storms, the GFS has been consistent with the thought that the pattern looks more active as we head into April. Temperatures for the most part look to remain fairly close to seasonal levels but this may change in the coming days.
