NICE WEATHER CONTINUES: Nothing much will change in the coming days and mostly sunny skies and warm temperatures will remain the rule through the rest of the week and into the weekend. A storm looks to just miss the state to the southeast on Friday but could bring a few more clouds in the southeastern counties of the state at that time. Highs during this period will remain in the 60s and 70s across the state with the warmest out in the west. With the warm temperatures and dry air, there is an increased risk of wild fires especially in the western counties of the state. Be aware of that.

COOLER WEATHER RETURNS: Heading into next week, a cold front looks to move through the state during the overnight hours Monday into Tuesday. This has very little moisture with it so some clouds may be the only thing we see out of this. What this will do is drop the temperatures down into the 40s and 50s for highs with lows in the upper 20s through the middle and upper 30s. Temperatures look to moderate a bit heading into Wednesday before more cold air returns as we look further into next week and beyond. The weather pattern also looks more active as we move toward the end of the month as well. We’ll keep watch on that in the coming days.
