State Boys Basketball Forecast – Day 3

What a wild day of basketball on Tuesday! I was getting back from work and started writing down scores, and I don’t know how many double-takes I did. The score sheet tonight is ridiculous. Only one upper-seeded team won on this Tuesday. Pella Christian (#7) won by a point over #2 Western Christian, Regina beat Cascade by 13, Williamsburg continued it’s dominance with a 25 point win over Glenwood, LeMars came out with an 8 point W over Dallas Center-Grimes, #7 Wahlert shut down #2 Waverly-Shell Rock 60-50, and Xavier used it’s exceptional defense to come out with a win over Pella.

It will be a short, but sweet day today for state basketball. Perfect time for you to go and grab some of the warm weather across the area. Only four games played today, all in class 4A. Semifinals begin tomorrow. Skies will be all clear today with not a cloud in the forecast. Temperatures will be slightly cooler than yesterday, but it honestly won’t make much of a difference. Temperatures will start off into the 40s early before eventually climbing into the mid 60s by the afternoon. Winds will not be a concern as usual, shifting from the N to SE through the day at 5-10 MPH. Continued warmth expected through the rest of the week before we begin a cool down later in the period.

Good luck to all of the teams playing today!
